Cam Laxton

Cam Laxton took an interest in film from a young age and decided he wanted to become a director when he watched Inception during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also taught himself how to animate in Blender 3D, in which he makes short animations and films. His style consists of vibrant colors, high-contrast lighting, and kinetic camera movements. His first short film, 'The Stick' was written by and starred Jonah Anthony Silva, Laxton's longtime collaborator and best friend. Laxton went on to direct 'My Song', his first award-winning film, scoring wins for cinematography, editing, production design, and best experimental feature at the CCRI Film Festival (Silva won Best Musical Score for the film).
